Money hungry

This school is so freakin money hungry. These last couple weeks, all the school wants to do is charge people ridiculous amounts of money for stupid things prior to leaving. I live in a campus house, and I have had five letters on my door, about little things that you will be fined for. Like $100 for not turning in your paper to your RA that tells when you are leaving. And a whole list of fines if they have to do fix things in the house, when everybody knows that those houses are raggedy anyway and they needed work years ago. I guess thats how this school get their money by scheming students out of their money.

Attendance

Am I the only person that thinks attendance sucks at Lindenwood? I'm talking about actually having to go to class or your grade is dropped. I think that is totally ridiculuous. This is not high school and this school is not cheap, so if students don't want to attned class that should be up to them. The classes will still get paid for regardless nad also the teachers. So why does it matter? Everyone is grown here and people do have other responsibilities now besides class, and if we find out what happened in class and do our assignments that should be fine. Yeah, teachers have to come class but so thats their job. Thats what they get paid for. I am sick of doing all of work in a class and doing well on tests and then having my grade drop because I miss some classes.

Finals

My finals are almost here and I am so stresses. Whenever it reaches finals week I always get stressed out because my grades are usually on the border. I think they should make finals all on different days so that students do not get overwhelmed, because my brain is starting to get overloaded. I don't know why we have finals anyway. All we do is cram for them but its nothing that we will remember like next year or something. They're pointless.

???

Okay so I have no idea what I should write about anymore that has anything to do with hair. So I think that I am going to start writing about anything. I mean how much can you write that has to do with hair before you start to get bored. So no more freaking hair stories.

I'm Ready

I am more than ready for this semester to just be over already. And I am devoting this post to let everyone know how bad I am ready for the summer to come. Well, not that I have any big plans or anything. I'm just drained from school and am happy that I decided not to do summer courses.

American Idol

I am so tired of American Idol. Am I the onle person that watched the first two seasons, and now think that its unbearable. I hate it. It seems like it is very commercialized. Im tired of hearing the judges say, "you don't look like a pop star". Well what does a pop star look like and why does a pop star have to look a certain way to be famous? I think that people should be able to be themself and not what everyone wants them to be. And I also think that America should not be in charge of who wins or not. The judges should also be able to have a vote on who stays and goes. We aleady know that America can not handle the responsibility of voting because Sanjaya just got voted off after weeks of horrble singing. This is all just ridiculous. Either American Idol needs to make some changes, or it has run it's course.

VA Tech

I have to start by first saying that it is horrible what happened at VA Tech and I pray for all the victims, their families and all involved. But now at this moment I think it is important to focus on the victims, and their families and not so much the shooter. I know that it is important to know the details and make sure that campus is now safe, but I think that the media and society is not trying to point the blame on something. Like "Oh he was bullied, a movie sparked his anger, there needs to be better gun control, there were all kinds of signs..." Whatever. Why can't this guy just be just a crazy murderer like all the rest? I don't think that you can blame movies and gun control, bullying or anything else because poeple watch movies and get bullied everyday but they don't snap and kill 33 people. It's time that people focus on the rememebering the victims now and not trying to point the finger.

Brows

It can hard to achieve the perfect eybrow arch and shape, and we have all seen some women that have some pretty messed up eyebrows. Either they are too thin, too high, shaggy or uneven. And guys with arched eyebrows, is just a no no. Some things are just reserved for women. But the first thing you need to know before arching your brows is knowing your face shape.

Oval face shapes can get away with just about any brow shape they choose. So if your favorite celebrity has an eyebrow shape that you love, then go for it!

If you have a round face shape, choose a high arched eyebrow shape to draw attention away from the width of your face. The center of the arch should move out towards the end of the brow while the end should be short.

If you happen to have a square shaped, you will want to stick with a brow shape that balances out your jawline. To accomplish this, make sure that the arch of your brow is directly above the square of the jaw.

If you have a long face shape, a brow that is flat will draw attention away from the length of your face and add a bit of width to it instead.

If you’ve discovered that you have a heart shaped face, you will want to add some roundness to the shape of your brow. You can do this by adding curves throughout the brow to help soften the face.

If you’re a rare diamond, you will want to choose a round shaped brow to soften your angular face or keep emphasis on the center arch of the brow to draw away from the width of your face.

Hit the Road

It seems as when a woman kicks a man out of her life or just ends a long relationship a drastic hair change comes about. And I know personally that when I ended a relationship that I felt wasted a year of my life, all I wanted was a freakin' makeover. A brand new wardrobe and a brand new hairstyle. Why is this? I guess when a woman is free is single she needs to cleanse her palette and she wants the world to know.

Finally

So we have finally found out the father of Anna's baby. Larry Birk...whatever? The blonde guy. But I'm glad this mess is over cause Im tired of hearing about it.

Secret

Another secret is out of the bag about hair. I have finally found out the process in which Tyra Banks uses so that it looks like her weave is growing from her scalp. It is called an invisible hairline lace front wig, and many people are wearing them including Beyonce, Trina and Lil' Kim. These wigs have been out for a while, but are now just catching on to consumers. Lace Front Wigs are the hottest and latest trends hitting the Beauty Scene. These lace front wigs are 100% INDIAN Remy Hair (cuticle hair) hand-tied to a lace base so that it looks as if hair is actually growing out of the persons head. No one would ever know if you are wearing a wig. The wig is more comfortable and more natural than a hard front wig. Basically, a number of celebrities are wearing the lace front wig, to give them the most natural appearance and latest style . These wigs are versatile and can be cut to suite your style. The Full Lace wig can be worn in high ponytails, flowing, parted in any direction you wish.

Not a Chance

For everyone who is addicted to VH1's Flavor of Love, Im sure you know who Chance is. Well I am tired of everybody saying that he has good hair and it's just natural. Yeah I's sure that he may have a nice grade of hair, but you can tell that he has put a relaxer in his hair as well as his brother. On the final episode he was standing looking like he had a head full of baby hair, and it looked a mess. You could see straight through to his scalp. I'm sorry people but he clearly has a relaxer.

Tyra

I don't know what kind of weave that Tyra Banks is using but it looks so good. Now that is some quality weave that you are not about to see at the beauty supply store. And whatever process she uses, it looks like it's growing out of her scalp, although we all know that she does not have any hair. She is probably bald-headed. I love the weave but I am not in love with that dirty blonde color she wears on her talk show. I just hope I never have to see her without her hair in cause I'm sure her head looks like a light bulb without it.

Sick and tired

Am I the only person that is sick and tired of hearing about Anna Nicole's death. First of all who didn't see it coming, and second of all is she really deserving of all of the publicity that she is getting. I guess that she is getthing what she always wanted, even whle she is dead. We have so much going on in the world that people never hear about. People dying everyday in Iraq, wars in Africa, poverty around the nation... And everytime I watch T.V. I have to hear about Anna Nicole.

People die everyday who have done great things to people and our society but instead we have to hear about Anna. This is a woman who married an old near dead guy for his fortune, was high everytime you saw her on T.V. and didn't even know who her baby's father is. And who cares about that too. Why don't they just go on the Maury show and get a paternity test like all the others who have no idea who the father of their kid is. Someone please give me their thoughts before I pull my hair out!

Extensions

So I guess it's not just black women such as myself that are weaving it out. I find it interesting that whites women and women of other races are now wearing extensions. It's weird because I really feel like that most of the time they really dont need it. But hey to each it's own. But I would never be able to tell who was wearing one and who wasn't. I would love to know how they are with upkeep, just so I could know if it is much different than the ones I wear at times. Let me know your feelings and experiences on extensions.

What!

Why is Brittney Spears bald? That's the question of the day. I would just like to know. Is she trying to prove something or did she have a hair crisis. Well, that look is definitely not good for her.

Short or Long.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while guys Iv'e been busy with school. But anyways people, I have a dilemma. Ever since I've colored my hair and chemically straightened it, it has been shedding badly on one side, so one side of my hair is thick and healthy and the other side is thinner. So I have been really contemplating cutting it to like a bob length. I think that a sassy layered bob would be really cute but I am so scared to cut it. My hair is kind of long now, so I keep saying to myself, "What if it doesn't grow back!" Have any of you ever met one of those girls who have said "My hair used to be long, but then I cut it and it hasn't been the same"? And I love doing different things with my hair, I don't want to be locked into one style.

But I think that the main reason I don't want to cut it is because I like the attention that I get from guys who love my hair long. Because I'm black they're always like "That's you?" as if black girls cant have a nice head of hair without it being fake. I'm scared that when I cut my hair I will lose some of my femininity (is that a word?) and sexiness. When you look at supermodels like Tyra Banks and Heidi Klum, they have long pretty hair. And I know that you you're thinking "What about Halle Berry!?" But be for real, she's just one person, that is super pretty and I am not Halle Berry. So what do you think? Do you think that shorter hair on women makes us loose our sexiness and femininity? And I would love to hear from the guys on this one too.

Bonded Together

There is one thing that binds all women together that is more important than fashion, makeup, and maybe even men (maybe!) And that is hair. My boyfriend tells me that I am doing somthing to my hair at least 6 hours a week. But I can't help it, I'm obsessed. If my hair does not look good, I don't feel good. And I don't even bother trying to put on a cute outfit, because bad hair just messes it all up.

Men just don't know what women go through when it comes to hair. Breakage, split-ends, bad perm, hair loss, bad beautician, bad cut, bad color...the list goes on. You name it I've been there. And women we finally do get that off-the-chain cut, color, or do; they just don't notice. But other women always notice. So I'm starting to wonder, do we do our hair to look good for guys, or for other women. Think about it. When another girl says that she like our hair don't we get excited. When a guy says he like our hair you're thinking "He's just saying that."

So us women must stick together, because we are all bonded through our hair. Leave a comment and let me know what you think. Or just leave a bad hair story, good hair story...Just leave something!
