Sorry I haven't posted in a while guys Iv'e been busy with school. But anyways people, I have a dilemma. Ever since I've colored my hair and chemically straightened it, it has been shedding badly on one side, so one side of my hair is thick and healthy and the other side is thinner. So I have been really contemplating cutting it to like a bob length. I think that a sassy layered bob would be really cute but I am so scared to cut it. My hair is kind of long now, so I keep saying to myself, "What if it doesn't grow back!" Have any of you ever met one of those girls who have said "My hair used to be long, but then I cut it and it hasn't been the same"? And I love doing different things with my hair, I don't want to be locked into one style.
But I think that the main reason I don't want to cut it is because I like the attention that I get from guys who love my hair long. Because I'm black they're always like "That's you?" as if black girls cant have a nice head of hair without it being fake. I'm scared that when I cut my hair I will lose some of my femininity (is that a word?) and sexiness. When you look at supermodels like Tyra Banks and Heidi Klum, they have long pretty hair. And I know that you you're thinking "What about Halle Berry!?" But be for real, she's just one person, that is super pretty and I am not Halle Berry. So what do you think? Do you think that shorter hair on women makes us loose our sexiness and femininity? And I would love to hear from the guys on this one too.

I definitely think long hair has been linked to being the ideal feminine quality. But if you talk to a lot of girls with long hair, including me, they would probably tell you this. I would cut my hair if I could find something that worked for me. I don't think I can pull off short hair. Long hair is "safe". No one criticizes it. Short hair is edgy and extremely eye catching. Anyone can have long hair.... I'd say go for it! Take your time and maybe talk to some professionals so you can find the perfect cut for you... then just give it a try. Hair always grows back!
